John 17:10-11, “And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.” Jesus is asking the Father to keep those who were given to him while he is no more in the world. And since the Father is going to keep us through his own name, we need to know how to come to the Father to get what is ours, How do we know that what the Father has is ours to have? Well, Jesus states to the Father in the verse above that all mine are thine, and thine are mine. So if all of that the Father has is Jesus, then all that the Father has is mine also because of us being heirs of God, and being joint heirs with Christ Jesus: Romans 8:16-17,”The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Therefore, as we know that the Father has it all, and that all he has is ours, now come get thine’s.
So how does what the Father has become mine and thine? Matthew 18:19-20, “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” What the Father has for us is ours without question, as Jesus has asked the Father to keep us or to be responsible for us through his own name. If the Father has to be responsible for us through his own name, we are going to have to come up to the father in his own way. When Jesus was here on the earth, he would lead them to the way prepared, and the Apostles and disciples could just follow his lead to the need. Now, we will also be lead of Jesus, but it will be from the way prepared by the word, according to the ways of the Father. You and I do not know the path to follow to what the Father has, but the Word, assisted by the Holy Ghost will lead us into the way prepared to receive what the Father has for us. What the Father has for you is already yours, but you have to arrive at the place in which it will be delivered to you. The Word is like a running vine, as it will run you into the way prepared for you, if you be willing to follow it. It is now time to be strong in the faith, and let the running word vine, lead you on in to that in which the Father has for you.
