I wake up, I look up, and then I just join right on in with the activities that Father has planned for us to do today. It is not hard to do, as Jesus informed us of how he joined in on the activities in which Father had going on while he was here on earth: John 5:17, “But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.” It’s really a no brainer that the Son, as well as us, the sons and daughters look to join in on the activities with the Father in order for him to get credit for his work. We know that he can have rocks crying out, have donkeys talking, and have review and consideration given to every creature as a possible help meet; but we know that Father sent forth the Son, and now the sons and daughters also, as his word to bring to pass his Will. It’s just how Jesus described it, Father is out and about being busy, unless he is on a PTO date: you know, a praying time off date. Oh yeah, when Father goes on a PTO date, he can take in prayers like no other; and he is never too busy to hear all our prayers, at least that’s the way Jesus sees it. Is that how you see also, the way that Jesus sees it? Oh, how do I know that Jesus sees it that way, that Father hears all of his prayers? Well, Jesus says it right there in the bible as he was on a PTO date with Father: John 11:42, “And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.” You see, it is very important to Father that he receive proper credit for all of his work: how would you take it if you sacrificed your only begotten son, but the credit went to some Jewish religious law that gave the credit to the three day looming spirit of a man? So Jesus “knew” that Father hearest him always; and we little sons and daughters need to “knew” it too. Yeah, when I wake up, I look up, and I knew it too; therefore, I can just join right on in the activities with Father. This Is How We Do It, Father And I.
So how do I just wake up, and join right on in with the activities that Father has planned for us to do today? Again, Jesus just puts it so clear for us to know where to start our shift with the Father once we wake up: John 5:17, “But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.” Since Father was working before you woke up to join him, once you do wake up, then you will want to look to see what work Father was doing before you woke up to join him in the work. You may ask how do we know that Father was working before we woke up? I will resist the easy response of saying that he is God, and just say what Jesus says in the scripture above: “My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. We know by definition from Oxford Languages that hitherto means “until now or until the point in time under discussion;” therefore, the until now or until the point in time under discussion would be when you woke up to join in the work: in the words of Jesus in the above scripture of John 5:17, “and I work.” Jesus is such a great example to follow, you think, how did he know to join in with this work in the same way as one of us would know? Let’s say as son of man, Jesus is not using his all knowing power; let’s also say at that time for the regular disciple, there is no Holy Ghost fallen yet for a word of knowledge of the illness; or for a word of wisdom to go forth in the gifts of healing to heal him; but without any of all of that, it is time to wake up and work. How did Jesus know, and how would we know in the same manner of Jesus. Jesus knew that it was time that he work because of the calling on his life given to him by his Father. Luke 4:18-19, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Jesus knew what he was called to do by his Father while he was here on earth, and when he came upon his Father work of having the time and season ready for him to work, then he would work, In that same manner, you and I have been called by God for work with an anointing, or authorized power to make it happen. We want to be sure to become clear on what work it is that we have been called to do, and to walk in the anointing given to make it happen. And that is how you can just wake up, and join in the work done hitherto by Father in order to set you up to do the work that you are called to do. Once you are sure of your calling, you will become sure of the work in which you are called to join in with to make happen. There are times and seasons for us already worked out before we were awaken or called, and it will be the anointed calling on us that will bring them to pass. This Is How We Do It, Father And I.
