If you are a top level officer in one of our fine military branches, you will often to do something that entry level or lower level military personnel have not yet learned to do. And what is that one may ask? Well, the top level officer is going to always want to know if any orders for the next operation have come down yet. The reason for this is that they know that any life, or plans concerning their life will receive consideration only after they receive their orders on what to do next. Once you get to a certain level, it is understood that what you do will be based on what your orders need you to do; and that is the life in which they signed up for. So they will always want to first know what is ordered, in order to know what and when they can order other things in their life to have hope for. The lower level or entry level personnel may not have been there long enough to have learned this yet, but they are already living it whether they have learned it yet or not. I have currently, and have had in the past plenty of family members, and close friends in the military; and most personal decisions were made in consideration of orders first, and not the orders being made in consideration of the personal decisions. My sister, a military veteran, was telling me recently of plans being made personally by my niece, current military, to have certain things covered with her son just in case orders to relocate were received. We are not knocking the system of the military, for how else would we have the greatest military on earth if we are not of one mind: we can’t ask all and all be one, so we have orders for all in order for all to be one. I was thinking about the members of the Body of Christ, and how we are all soldiers in the army of the Lord. We remember the beginning of the kingdom of Heaven as Jesus established it here on earth; and gave the orders making up his first great commission given to the original Apostles to go spread the news to all who would be saved. The head General of all earth division of the Kingdom of Heaven, was seeing the beginning of the greatest movement of people to come, beginning with those handful of Apostles as he was about to return to his home base in Heaven to sit at the right hand of Glory. The head of this early stage, great movement to be, had given us his reason for success in which we must always keep near and dear to our hearts. John 6:38, “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” When we come to the Lord, and we receive our orders from him, we need to have already asked the question, why did I come to the Lord? Did I come to do my own will or did I come to do the Will of the Father? If we come to do our own will, then we will not be as one with God; therefore, we will have other considerations in which we will first consider that will keep us from carrying out God’s Will. It works out best for God and for us when we keep the things that we hope for in line with the things that God has commanded us to do. He will usually need to have his Will done in order for us to have what we hope for, and the two will generally work hand in hand along the same path. When God knows in our hearts that we come to do his Will, the extension chord to our hope is already connected. Father Is The Extension Chord To Our Hope.
