There is always a lot coming at us trying to have the ear of our will in order to have dominance over what we do. It is important that we don’t let our mind become the facilitator of doubt in us. And keep in mind, that the mind is generally just going about its business standing by whatever it is you last believed. Then out of no where, it begins: something is heard by you that challenges the thing that you believe at the time. It’s not a new thing, but it is the thing that works to allow a change to get in if the current belief is not rock solid. We can look all the way back to the beginning of creation when at the time when the mind would generally just be out going about its business standing by what it last believed, then out of no where, it begins. We know that God is dependable and always on time, so he was looking for Adam and Eve where they should have been out having a walk and talk with him in the garden in the cool of the day: Genesis 3:8, “And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.” This did not happen as it generally does, because something else had come to them trying to have the ear of their will in order to have dominance over what they would do. We all know the story of how they listened to the serpent, and by doing this they let their mind become the facilitator of doubt in them. This still happens today to all, and not just to spiritual people. Adam and Eve were just like first year quarterbacks usually are, and not ready for all that this opponent through at them. They just lacked experience in knowing that the voice God was already on the way, and to just “Stand By Your Word From Father.”
We just need to know not to panic when something comes our way to challenge what we believe, for that is just the way it is in life. We need to remove the edginess associated with being a Christian, and look at it from the point of just being a Christian you. We always make Christianity the elephant in the room, when we should make our life results be the elephant in the room with our life being able to speak for itself. Jesus did not say that we would be known because we call ourselves Christians, but he said that we would be known by the life of love to mankind: John 13:35, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” So let’s settle down and just respond to the challenge in the same way we do the other challenges, for we are still Christians in those other challenges also. If someone, even a family member, comes to me asking for a loan of $50,000, I will just say I don’t have it to loan you. I am not all edgy, and thinking boy or girl, I am Christian how should I reply. When the enemy wants to get me to go against the Word of God, I don’t get all edgy thinking I am Christian at this moment; no, I am a Christian at every moment. I will do the enemy just as I did the older bully when I entered the six grade, or those having to try me in college to see if I was all that, as well as the middle age men stirring up mess at an event not so long back: you don’t repeat to them or distinguish your Christianity from who you are. If you are indeed a Christian, it will come out because it is a description of what to expect from you. I told the seventh grade bully that he would not be taking any lunch money from me ever; I told the college guys to get lost by out doing them in everything they showed up for; and the middle age men from not so long back, I went up to them and ask them if there was a problem? I didn’t leave my Christianity behind, because my Christianity and me are one; and I am comfortable being who I am in my Christianity: I just love it. When the enemy come to bring doubt to you, stay cool, and just put him away like you would any other problem that’s not yours. Stand By Your Word From Father.
My younger brother, who is a Pastor, had given the best heartfelt, and sincere response of being comfortable as a Christian at every moment in which I had ever heard. One of my brother’s best friends from high school was under a shed when it fell on him taking his life. The wife asked my brother to give the old testament at the funeral. Then she asked him would he like to be on the program as Pastor Flowers or as brother Flowers? My brother’s reply was that he didn’t know that the two was separate. He knew what the wife meant, but to him, to be both means that he would need to be comfortable being one at every moment. Many times we think that we can not be comfortable being one at every moment , and this will cause us to lose being rock solid every moment. One can be a Pastor, and also be a rock solid brother at every moment; however, one can only be a rock solid brother at every moment, if a rock solid brother is all that he is called to be at that moment. We must not change up who we are when we hear something that comes to challenge our belief; for we must be who we claim to be or we will lose being rock solid. We do not get to separate Christianity from who we are at selected moments, for we will lose out on the benefits of that in which is no longer expected. If I hear something that comes to bring doubt to my faith, I need to hear a voice proclaiming to me, for me to hear that which I believe. Well, just say it aloud to yourself, and don’t just stand there hearing that which has come to try you. If Adam and Eve could had stood by the Word from God just a lil bit longer, they would have soon heard the voice of God coming to their rescue. And unlike Adam and Eve were at the time, you and I should know better to stand there and just listen to one or another go on and on contrary to that which we believe: for doubt also cometh by hearing, and hearing from everything other than the Word of God. Hearing words not from the Word of God is a formula to bring doubt if we ever saw one, for we know that the enemy has come to replace our faith with his doubt. So don’t separate your Christianity in your fight, and remember that your strength is in you being all one. Stand By Your Word From Father.
