This is how I see it when I think about Jesus when he was in the earth, and how I think about the man when he was in the garden of Eden. When Jesus as Word, was made Jesus as flesh, to come and dwell amongst us; it pleased the Father to give him everything concerning God: Colossians 1:19, “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.” And here is one of the scriptures in the Bible that let’s you know that Jesus was indeed already here in Word form way before he was made flesh, born of the virgin Mary. John 17:5, “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” And the Father, in all of his wisdom, knew that the kingdom of heaven would be set up once Jesus’ time to come here in the flesh was at hand: so the Father went ahead and made provisions from the Apostles on up for all others that followed to include you and me. Colossians 2:9-10, “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. So whatever you will need, the Father was already making the provisions available for all that would follow in the faith of Christ Jesus. One may ask if the fullness was only given to Jesus, and if so, how would we be able to take advantage and be complete in him? That’s not a bad question to ask at all. I also use to ask that question until I got the understanding. Well, Colossians 1:19 as stated above, does only refer to all fullness dwelling in him (Jesus); however, Colossians 2: 9 as stated above also, does make it clear as that verse includes the fullness of the Godhead to not just include him (Jesus) as did Colossians 1;19, but Colossians 2:9 also has included the fullness of the Godhead bodily (us). And in all fairness to the writer of Colossians 1:19, he does reference that Jesus is the head of the body, the Church, all members: Colossians 1:18, “And he is the head of the body, the church.” Therefore, all members (the church), do come clearly into play as having access of all the fullness of God as it does dwell in the Godhead bodily. Man Knowing All, Or Man knowing Only.
We all should be so thankful to the Father for making provisions for us to have access to dwell in the fullness of God. The man has always been provided for from the beginning by God, but the provisions that dwell in the Godhead bodily is totally different from the provisions that dwell in the garden where the man only had to dress it and keep it. Jesus was sent to the earth knowing all fullness, but the man was put in the garden knowing only what he was told. I am glad that the Father came away from that experience with the man in the garden with the knowledge that man needs to know more about God in order to operate in obedience. Jesus always did what his Father told him to do, but Jesus still always knew from the jump that what he was told by his Father was the only truth. The man in the garden, obviously, did not always do what God told him to do; however, the man in the garden did not know from the jump that what he was told to do by God was the only truth. Jesus had already spent generations as the Word, and he knew that he was getting the truth from his Father, even when it was new truth. The man in the garden had spent just days with his stranger creator God, and he was expected to just trust the God he didn’t know without a doubt. I don’t think that any of us quite pulled that level of expected obedience off too good either within days after just meeting the Lord. And for the most part, even when most of us had just received Jesus as I Lord and Savior, it’s not like we had never heard his name or anything about him before as it was for the man in the garden. And besides, the man in the garden couldn’t know any more than he was told by God since he was not allowed yet to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in order to know what was good and evil. So here is where we in the body of Christ come into play. The Father just went ahead and made it to where we can eat from not just the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but we can eat from everything else of God since we are in the body of Christ. We are not like the man in the garden of Eden knowing only what was told him; no, we can know more than just what was told us; and we can even read your mail too if we be gifted, anointed, and willing. Yeah, the man in the garden was put on the learning curve to know that what God said was true: he had no history with his new creator to know that the Word given to him was the truth. How about with you? Have you been so long enough time with the Lord, until you just know that you are willing to ride or die with what he said to you? Anyway, that’s for another day; however, the true posture in faith is that one be willing to take it to the death if necessary to bring it to pass. Now don’t you worry. I am not going to ask that question, and have some immature member in the body stand up with a resounding yes. I will not have the faith blood of anyone on my question. Now just go and take the fullness of God, and show that you know the truth. Man Knowing All, Or Man knowing Only.
The Father Still Does Love To Do The Body Good.
