If we the members of the body of Christ could find the courage to just get from behind the eight ball at times, then we could live the life where “Just A Little Bit Of Substance Will Do You.” I am fully aware of how difficult it is to do when there are still many things piling up to do. If I was the enemy, and I am sure that he is aware of its impact on our lives, I would have it as a strategy in play at all times. When we are always dealing with things in the path way in which we are trying to go, it becomes almost impossible to get there without waiting for those things to be moved out of the way first. And most of the time, we do not have the angle available to move from behind the things in our way. We may have the path to make the required deposit, but we can’t get from behind the bad credit to make that shot; and we may have the ability to earn an athletic scholarship, but we couldn’t get from behind the lack of internet access at home to keep up with school work; and we may have waited out our time again for the promotion wanted on the job, but we again just couldn’t get from behind the favoritism showed toward others to receive the promotion. There must come a time when you must summon the courage to change your own angle before your time runs out on you to take the shot. I understand that you have been at that job for over twenty years, but you can’t afford to be there another twenty years waiting out your time for more favoritism to keep you from taking your shot at the promotion. So how do you change the angle to get from behind the favoritism? You will just need a little bit of substance to do you, but it must be the substance in which you believe: human resources, upper level management, apply for the position at a new company. You never know what the substance will be that God will provide to you to change your angle, and it may not be anything that we have seen or heard yet. You just have to have the courage to change your angle when the thing in front of you hasn’t been moved yet. Just A Little Bit Of Substance Will Do You.

If the Father had his way, we would just flow right into everything in a timely manner. There would not be any last minute heroics needed from the Godhead members to save us again, for we would not need to be saved. The problem that we have with not being in position to live the life where “Just A Little Bit Of Substance Will Do You,” is that we have to live out all of those decisions that we have made that put us behind the eight ball in the first place. Some of our decisions are just like wild weeds, as they will run on and on; and they seem to run on for ever. Here again, the courage to take a clipper and just clip that weed will free you to begin to go straight at the path again; and it just feels so great to be able to take the next shot, free of blockage where just a little bit of substance will do you. I can remember being involved in an angle changing situation about twelve years ago with this young employee at the company where I was working. I had went to an event where this young lady and her mother had also attended. I knew the young lady just a little bit, and I met her mother for about five minutes, for just a little bit. I was unaware of the problem that the young was having, but after meeting her mother for just a little bit, the mother told her daughter to go tell that man (me) what’s going on. So to make the story even shorter, it turns out that the young lady was really good at her job; however, she couldn’t get from behind the laziness of her boss to receive her due credit in which he took for doing the work that she did. Well, the Father having the mother just meeting me for a little bit was all it took to get this young lady from behind the laziness of her boss; because as the Arby man says in the commercial, “I got the meat” substance. I went in there and did what I do with the Father, I got the victory: the young lady was promoted to the position that her boss had wanted, and at a much better location. And then she went and did her new position so well, that she was promoted again there shortly after. I would love to see what has become of that young lady today. Listen, you just don’t know what little bit that the Father has in your midst that is there to get you from behind whatever your eight ball may be. You’ll just have to bring the courage, and the faith to the little bit of substance in which you can see; and then just run with it. I still joke with many of my people even today after all these years. I ask them how can a stranger just meet me for less than five minutes, and know that I got it; and you all have known me for years, and you still miss at times by a little bit? lol. Just A Little Bit Of Substance Will Do You.
