It’s only one way to look at getting to higher ground in the Father, and that is to look lowly first. We use to say that backing up a step or two did not cause you to lose ground, but by backing up, it did give you a chance to get a running start over familiar ground. In order to get to higher ground, you must first stand on ground that you know will brace you for what’s in front of you. If you noticed from your own real life experiences, or even from what we see in the movies, before anyone takes a jump toward higher ground, what do we and/or they always do first? Well, we and/or they, always, and I mean always look down or lowly first right before they spring forth. The reason that we all do that is because the foundation to spring forth must already be down at the launching pad, or we will have as the movie was entitled with one of my favorite actors from Texas in it, have “failure to launch.” And failure to launch is what we so often have in a faith operation because all we are doing is looking up, and before one can look up for higher ground, one must look lowly first to make sure that the launching pad is good to go. And you will not see Houston looking up right before blast off, with all things being equal including weather, everything needed to have a successful launching is down on the ground: what’s up there, is always up there, and the new thing coming up, must first leave safely from down off the ground.
So how does one look lowly or down first, before springing forth for higher ground in the Father when there is a faith operation going on? And I hate to break the news to you, but what God has for you, will not be for you, if you are not in the place to be, when what is for you comes to be for you. Looking lowly just means to see what is needed to stand, and be able to lift off when the higher ground opportunity shows itself. It can be as simple as ten virgins thinking that they are all ready to get what is for them, but five of them just didn’t take a step or two back to look lowly, to make sure that they had what was needed to launch. And when what is for them came to be for them, they did not get what was for them because they got caught only looking up first. Then when they had to look lowly at what the other five had already taken a step back to do to make sure that they were ready for whatever, well, you know how that ended for them: they did not get what God had for them. The other reason why you must look lowly first before looking for higher ground, is to position your self for the production of your best friend outside of Jesus, and that would be your fruit of the Spirit. Now do I want to leave my front row seat right before blast off to go get some oil? No, no one does; therefore, if your best friend outside of Jesus does not rise up and produce some humility, and self-control, you will talk your own self in believing that everything, is gong to be alright. Yes, Jesus came through, but for five of them, everything did not be alright. And Jesus is no respecter of person, for even if the great you do not also look lowly first before looking to go higher, then everything is not going to be alright for you either, even as the float of your best friend Jesus passes you on by. So whatever your higher ground is that he has for you, make sure that you look lowly first, and get whatever the name of your oil is for you to keep going, and have a great lift off to your higher ground!
