We all build trust and confidence in a person based on our ongoing experiences, and history with that person. I know from my own experiences, we can give some major trust and confidence to a man, who according to one of the since it’s me it can’t be him scriptures, that man should lie. Oh, I know that you have heard your preacher bring forth many a message from one of them “since it’s me it can’t be him scriptures” over the years. let me show you the one that I’m using to anchor me with this post: Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? There it is right there in bold letters: since God is not a man, that he should lie, then that which is a man should lie, there it is as big as night and day. The preeminence is that God has no reason or gains no benefit for lying as a man truly would. I mean God is the biggest and baddest dude God on any scene, why and for what reason could there be to make him lie? That’s man kind of stuff, someone puts a gun to our head, and man will say whatever it takes to anybody, including our ma ma to save our child’s life. I know, I know that this is being done under extreme duress with your begotten child, but that is my point; there is nada, from duress to any other mess that God’s Word would return unto him void: it is duress, and all kinds of other mess that is the reason why man should lie. So again, it’s one of those since it’s me it can’t be him many truths of the Bible. You know, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall as the Devil threaten God to put the toddler Jesus on the cross if he didn’t go back on all his word and make it a lie. I can imagine God saying to the Devil, well his hour is not yet at hand for about thirty more years, so I’m going to hide him until the king dies because I prefer to always be on time; however, if you do manage to catch up to him early, use two band-aids instead of the one it would have call for if things had gone as planned when I’m right on time. lol. I know, there I go again.
Alright then, so since God is not a man that he should lie, can you imagine having an opportunity to put all your trust and confidence where there is no possibility of let down, or a lie going down? Oh, wait minute, you don’t have to imagine, you can actually live it out in your own reality, live in your own world. I just know that you are jumping up and down with what the realization of what it means for God not to lie. I can hear you, just as I can hear myself saying, woman, if I can get him to answer me in a favorable way concerning the things I hope for, it is as good as mine. Plus it really does say it in scripture that what the Father says, the Father plays: Isaiah 55:11, “ So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Did you read that, and more importantly, do you believe it to be true that once the word comes forth, bank on it? I will tell you that as for me and my house, we are going to trust the word of the Father that goeth forth out of his mouth. And don’t be mistaken, that does include the already written word in which it came forth from his mouth first: John 12:49-50, “For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50) And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.” I believe that we should take a page out of the Jesus play book: we should speak what we hear from God, or read from his written word, and then we will be assured of knowing that whatever Word that we have received from the Father, it will not be returning to him void. So once you get your word from the Father, then say no more, and be ready to prove it to be so.
