It may seem like it at times that we were farther away from that in which we hoped for than we thought because of the time that has passed by since the inception of our hope on that specific thing. You do know that the Father can get you to the thing that you hoped for much sooner, but he is not going to put that extra weight on the bar if you are not able to bear it. And it is not really the Father who determines just how fast you may get to what you hoped for; no, the one who helps him out with that determination can be found in your mirror. If you think about it in terms of a car engine, the Body of Christ is equipped to run on a HEMI and automatically be upgraded to whatever comes out next as the new best engine going. However, the engine that you eventually run on is the one that you accounted for as the car was being built to run. In other words, I can’t build a car to run on a conventional engine, and then demand for it to run with the power of a HEMI just because I start to hope out loud. Nope, nope, nope, it is going to run as it was built to run from the beginning of the assembly line process. The thing that makes what you hope for become farther away is because you are hoping for that in which you have no substance in which to bring it to pass. If all of the Word substance that you act on are for the power of the conventional engine, but you keep looking for the power of the HEMI engine, you will be looking for a long time because it is not coming. If there is no Word substance for the power of the HEMI acted on by you, there will be no faith substance for the power of the HEMI coming to you.

Now if you want your hope to be just “the Father away,” then you need to build with the power that you want from the beginning of the process. You see, with the Father, the speed of your hope is based on the power of your faith. The more power you have behind your faith, the sooner you will get to your hope. Here’s a simple and practical example: Saturday night I was out for a four mile run, and I saw a crowd of people up a bit around the place where I needed to make my turn, but some disturbance entered into my mind concerning their intentions. I asked my self, is this fear or is this discerning of the human spirits I am about to approach? If it had been an alert from the Holy Ghost, my faith would have pulled me like one does another when walking the floor in a dance. However, the only thing that I got was in my mind, so fear was trying to run my car with a conventional engine. If I had turned, and not continued to process the Word that I start running on, I would have taken longer to get what I hoped for, home. I can not still hope to get home on time, if my now fear substance being processed, is going to take me farther away. Of course, if it had been a true spiritual alert, I would have made the turn toward the different way home to avoid bad intentions. The enemy depends on us to make decisions concerning our faith substance to take us farther away from what we hope for because he knows that we are only the Father away. When the path of the Word that we are on produces substance to get us to what we hoped for sooner, or with more than we asked for, reach for the Father and not for the fear; and we will not end up farther away. If you can handle the fruit production required to handle the Father’s production of what it takes to move you sooner, you will indeed be just “the Father away” from that you hoped for.
