God never did say to Adam that he should not eat of knowledge. What he did say to Adam was this: Genesis 2:16-17, “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” So God had only commanded that just one tree, out of every tree, not be eaten from. You know that’s like telling your younger sibling when growing up not to bother your stuff. You would have been better off not saying a word to your sibling about it. It wasn’t that God didn’t want Adam to have knowledge, he just didn’t want Adam to have knowledge that did him no good. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil reminds me of an amusement park; everything is there to attract and distract you from your world for just enough; for just enough to get you to want to try what you see. It was not until the man behind the booth, or should I say serpent behind the booth, started to push the agenda of the booth, you may have paid it no attention as has been the case up to this point. You know how it is when at the park, you have what you Will do just anyway, and you have what you Will not do just anyway, unless you get a good push of knowledge and edification from the person behind the booth. Adam was already doing what the Will would have him to do just anyway, but then knowledge came, and just pushed the Will away. It is good not to listen to that which is contrary to what the Will is for you because faith to do it will come, and you may not yet be strong enough to turn your back on it. Plus, this is why the scripture instructs us when to trust faith that comes to move you: Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” You can get faith to move you from anywhere: your favorite team can cut a twenty-point deficit down to six points with two minutes left to play, and you are all in with the hope of completing the come back because faith is the substance of things hoped for. God says to let your substance of things hoped for, when it comes to his Will, only move you when the faith comes from the Word of God: the Word of God is the only thing that has complete truth of the Father’s Will in it. Remember, I and my Father are one; thus is the same as the Will and the Word are one, and therefore only faith to move you correctly with his Will can come only from his Word. So yes, faith to move can come from a motivational speaker, but the words from the speaker are part true: the motivational speaker word does not have factored into it what God knows is waiting for you around three corners as does the faith to move you that comes by the Word of God.

The tree of life on the other hand, has the substance in it to support it all: the Will of the Father, the needs of Adam as well as the desire to know more as they grew and developed with God. There is knowledge to be gained from every tree that was in the garden even if its name did not bear the title of knowledge anywhere in it. The knowledge of each’s taste, along with the pleasure that it brought to their mood would become important to them. The thing that I like most about the tree of life is that it would bring forth knowledge that is tailored made to that which concerns me most. Unlike the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil which like a gossip champion, it will being forth whatever hearsay that you will listen to it say: has God said this, that, and the other, Gotcha. The Father loves the knowledge that comes from the tree of life because it is all about his Will. You and I should be currently loving this tree also because it is all about making sure that we have the knowledge needed to fulfill the Will of the Father. It is too bad that Adam could not hold out long enough to find out that the tree of life made it all personal for him, and had all the knowledge that he would ever need to know minus that which is contrary to the Will of the Father. The Father wants us to have knowledge, but he wants it to be power knowledge. I hope that we all take time to find out the truth, and that is that the tree of life has more knowledge than the other tree could ever had: knowledge is something that you find out from another that you didn’t have or know; where as the Will of God is something given to us from another in which he already knows and have already worked out for us. The Father loves knowledge from the tree of life because it is more of his love given to us to have life more abundantly. Here is something to think about: we have just for starters the Word gifts of the five-fold ministry with all the knowledge and Will of the Father that you can eat just for your benefit; we have the Holy Ghost with more and more knowledge and Will of the Father within the gifts, and truth that you can eat; and finally, we have the Father running all of his operations bringing us more knowledge, and Will to finish the work, and to live life more abundantly. So when that other tree shows its hand, and it always does, it is on you to go and eat from what you know, because you know the truth.
