Why not? If you got the time, he got the place, Father-time is the place. It is not his will that you have been so unwilling to hurry to it. Don’t misunderstand the Father, he knows that you know him: what he’s saying Is that “We didn’t know each Other Like That.” And the Father wants to know as many of his sons and daughters as are willing, “Like That.” And it’s not much disputing of this that you can put up any defense against it. Anyway, the Bible warns of thinking more highly of ourselves than we ought: this is one of those times in which we ought not to think about it at all, but just ought to accept it. Even the Father of faith, Abraham, had to come on up some more because the Father desired to find out if Abraham would be one willing for them to know each other like that. People say that the Father is all knowing, and I must agree with that truth, however, the Father himself made us with a free will to do that which we will, so nobody knows what that will be until it happens. So like with Abraham, and the Father wants us to come there too if willing, God wanted to know him like that now: He did not want to have to wait, and see if there is something else that can come up later in which Abraham feared more than He. Genesis 22:12, “And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.” Now I Know.

You know, I majored in Marketing Research back when I was in college, and I have been gathering info in various categories over the years. I like to have a clear understanding of what it means in many different areas to know the numbers vs the talk about something or someone like that. Numbers can tell you a lot about what it took for you to accomplish what you did. When I was doing telephone cold calls to businesses in the early days of alternative telephone services, I knew that if I came into the office with a list of thirty phone numbers already prepared to call each hour, that I would surpass my sells quota with about five minutes in the hour left to spare: me and the cold call gods just knew each other like that, and we knew it now. So, in doing what Marketing Research people do, I researched. I would talk with people about their relationship with God to see how it came to be as it was. In a relationship, I do for you, you do for me, we do for each other even when we don’t want to do, you get the drift. I found out that the people with the greatest I do for you, and you do for me things with God, that they and God were not getting to know each other like that, like God did with Abraham. God had saved them from sickness, death, additions, abuse, and on an on did the beat go on, until the beat stopped. They didn’t stop loving God after the big one, they just keep the big one on the mantel and God wanted them to go get more big ones. I found out by the numbers, and this is when Marketing Research people do what we do, we analyze the numbers to let them talk back at us. An obvious talk back to me that stood out the most, and allowed me to better advise people was this: the vast majority of the people that received the greatest moves from God, did not volunteer or wilt their bad situations onto themselves. Now many of them made bad decisions that lead to their predicament, while most of them were just victims left to deal with what happened to them. Many things that happen to us are beyond our control, but when those things do happen, the smart and correct thing to do is to take it to the Lord and get your help.

So this is one of the main ways that the majority of people started to know just how big and good God could be in their relationship: What God is saying is that He wants to know you now when you are in control of your choices. Yeah, if we are sick in the hospital, even though most Pastors will want to come see about us, what’s the Pastor going to do, not come? And the Father will meet the Pastor there with you to do what a loving Father will do, help you. Our successes with the Father fall off as we need help with lesser things in which we have other choices. I say this all time concerning an America pre-covid19: if you need something in America, you can get most things just by looking up an address, and stopping by to get it. There is such a gap between the small needs and the in-between needs when it comes to choosing God to supply the need. I know, in America, there are so many services to help, and we thank God for that, but don’t miss the real point here of this post. If I mainly need God to supply my Big needs by default, I am going to mainly know him as a default God. If America can provide many of the services that supply my needs, like the football teams started out this covid19 year, I will not be polished when a tough game comes along because of the lack of practice. The reason that the Father wants to know you when the choice is yours is so that you will know him when America has no choice for you. He does not just want to be a big God to you by default, but he wants to be a big God to you when you are healthy, and with choice. ” He wants to NOW know you like that.”
