Walking by faith does not mean that you run forth, and do things by the evidence of things not seen. In the scripture, Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” This scripture is not trying to give us a directive, and/or authorization to go forth in action when alerted by the evidence of things not seen. This latter part of the scripture is merely giving us the understanding of where we are in the process so don’t act yet: sighted people should always move on what you see, and not on what you hoped for still being with the evidence of things not seen yet. The first part of Hebrews 11:1 is letting you know when to act (Now), on what to act on (Substance), as it lights up the correct substance ( linked to word), for you to only move on what you see from out of the dark. Sighted people do not become blind people because you are in the dark; however, you do become producers of the fruit of the Spirit bringing forth whatever is needed to hold your ground: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance; so that you only move on what you see.
When you move on what you can’t see, bad things usually happen. And not seeing does not mean that you couldn’t see: it usually means that you were distracted, and/or enticed by something that took your sight away from where you should have been looking. The main set of things that awaits us when walking by faith is on the other side of the coin. On one side of the coin is of course the fruit of the spirit, and on the other side of that coin flips the works of the flesh. You know, they are so obvious, I will just say this about them; it is all about soul control. The works of the flesh is all about makin your flesh kowtow to something that has a hold on you by your will to some degree. You just need to work on decreasing the some degree part, and you will decrease that part of kowtowing to the works of the flesh. And this is not about fleshy sin, but it is about finding anyway to get you to move on what you hoped for before it becomes faith substance that has left the realm of evidence of things not seen yet. The Father does not require that we leap first, and then realize if it was faith or something else. And taking a leap of faith has nothing to do with you taking a shot in the dark because you will more than likely miss what you were aiming for, and hoping for. God did not lay down strict orders to Adam and Eve in the garden against the works of the flesh, but he did lay down strict orders against them: He said to them, “You Don’t Do It.” Get control of your soul parts: emotions, mind, and will, take them to the gym and pump them into God shape. Ok, enough talk: it comes down to how much do you really trust, and know that God has, oh forget that has you stuff for this one. Do You Know That God Really Got You?! So You Don’t Do It; and You Only Move On What You See: on that which faith now shows you that came from the realm of the evidence of things not seen.
