You know how it is with most of us Americans. We, including me, we want it done yesterday: we want instant gratification if we can get it. Why not want it now? It is the natural thing to do. The majority work because they have to, and not necessarily because they like what they do. The lights must stay on, the clothes must stay on the backs, the rent must stay caught up, and “baby feet” always stay growing for a new pair of shoes. Therefore, we mostly stay with the work we have, while having on file our waiver not to stay for thirty years any more; and to move on as soon as somebody show us something better. I know it, and I have lived it too; and moving on upward to something better is the new staying at one job for thirty years or more. So if we can have God see a need to pamper us, and he falls for us, so be it; give me my tree now, and take care of the forest decency and order on some one else’s time. I say to my kids at times when I want to make a point, and keep their full attention until I make my point: I might start out with “it is not your fault,” now they’re in listening mode; and then I say, you just did what kids do, and if the parent allowed you to do what kids do, then I can’t blame you for doing it. Then I move in to make my point, now I would have loved for you to have gone above what the average kid would do, and show that your maturity level is much higher as we thought it was. Otherwise, we would not have allowed you to be in a position to do things that an average kid would choose not to do. Plus it helps me when you help keep order in the house as oppose to just going for what you want. Then I drop the mic and leave them; and since I made it not to be their fault, they take it to the next level in their thinking process for the next time.
Hey, now thinking as a immature child would think, if the Father is going to do all the work, why not let him move ahead at God’s speed: and I am not talking about Godspeed as in good wishes on your journey. No, I am talking about that speed that he showed in the beginning, where each of his let it bes, each became quickly, and it was. Oh, that’s the problem, God did all that let it be stuff fast back when it was still just them in the “let it be process.” You know them? They had a meeting on how to make man? Let me read an insert of it to refresh your reading: Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let “us” make man in our image, after our likeness:” There it is right there. God, aka “us”, not you and me people, man was not made at the time, but then man was made, and God’s speed took a big hit. You see, before man was made, the “us” mainly included the three parts of the one God with each part having life within itself: God’s Will, God’s Word, and God’s Spirit. Here is where I believe that “If You Think Forest With Father, You Will Get Your Tree,” first became so important. And obviously, Adam and Eve didn’t have an off season to blame the parent for allowing them to be in a position for mature kids only. What was their time in the Garden? Yeah, not long, but God their creator is not going to go for the tree thinking kids. God is going to expect you to think forest, and then you can have your tree. What is the forest? The forest is always “obedience” over sacrifice, evictions, bankruptcy, sickness and in health, money for college, food on the table or whatever it is that maybe your tree of need at the time. And remember, God, even the Father will allow your tree to be in your midst, and in your reach for you to bring glory to his name. God will not tempt you with a wrong tree to supply your need, but he will allow both your tree and his forest, or in other words, he will allow both having your need supplied at your chosen cost and your obedience to him at his chosen cost in the same garden for you to show him what you want him to know. You can ask Abraham when you see him: what is it about the all knowing God that brings him to wanting to see in order to say, “Now I Know.” Always Keep the Father updated: it is your obedience “Now” in which he wants to Know. The Forest For The Tree Will Get You There!
