The Body of Christ has averaged around a thousand years per God head in our development, maturity and skill level. Once Jesus established his Body, and then ascended to be at the right hand of Glory, it was game on for the Body of Christ. There were not any with the experience that you, and I were blessed to grow up under. I had Pastors, and leaders called of God with twenty years plus of leading a Church. The Apostles were the most experienced because of the few years they spent with Jesus, but they were all green when it came to leading the Body of Christ. So the body of Christ was off and running with roughly three year converts as the main leaders, and only brand new converts to look forward to help build the Body of Christ.
What does this have to do with catching up to Father? This shows the leadership, and membership level of the Body of Christ at that time. This is also the start of the first thousand years of development and growth of the Body of Christ. In 1 Peter 2:2, we can see the beginning state, and needs necessary for the new body to begin its journey. And it reads, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” So this new body is starting out with every member, except for the seasoned three year plus leadership converts of Jesus, needing the sincere milk of the word like a babe that they may grow. This is why we had to catch up to Father because we started the brand new program with all brand new members under brand new green leadership.
Are we there yet? The Body has matured in the “Word” as well as in it’s use of the gifts of the “Holy Ghost.” These are the first two members of the God head, and we have to become one with them before the Father would make his way to the body. Hebrews 5:12-14, “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” So again, are we there yet?
John 4:23, But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. It is time to catch up to Father. He is now looking for the sons within the body of Christ that can say yes to the question: are we there yet? The body is built to protect, feed, nurture, and continue to teach any member as long as needed. What Father wants, and needs are the sons that can come hang with him on the strong meat. Jesus left the body fully equipped to function, and supply all its members needs. Jesus left the body fully gifted to keep going until he returns. Father on the other hand has some unspoken “word” that He wants to carry out. He has some “word” that eyes have not seen, and that ears have not heard that only sons on strong meat can handle. You know one thing that makes Father the greater is that He has a vast will that only he knows. The “Word” is God, and it reveals the things that God wants to be known: His Word. Now Father has many things in his vastness that he hasn’t revealed: Not Word Yet.
In the next post we will look at how the sons who are ready, can catch up to Father. He’s always been there. It just taking the body around two thousand years to get positioned for Father time. We got the “Word,”we got the “Holy Ghost,” and now let’s see if we can catch up to Father. Father would love to do the body good. He misses looking out across the firmament, having the “Word” revealed saying let there be, and it be as it was said.
