Father does the body good in two ways: the way he deals with each individual member of the body of Christ, and the way he deals with the corporate body in effecting all the members as a whole. We’ve come along way as a corporate body since Jesus established the Body of Christ. Paul once lamented over having to teach the milk of the word to the babes, but we have developed as a body to be meat eaters today.
Yes, we are able to eat the meat of the word as a body to overcome our enemies as a body, but are we as a body ready to eat the meat of the Spirit as well. The milk of the word is just feeding us direction, hope, and accountability that didn’t upset our system. It kept us feeling good, and coming back for more. The meat of the word is hard to swallow if you are not willing, and ready to chew on it for a while. It needs you to keep coming back for more direction, hope, and accountability that’s not easy to swallow. The milk of the Spirit is experiencing the move of God by having the faith to receive it: maybe God sent some one to your house with a full right hand, maybe a minister called you out in the prayer line to receive, and/or maybe you were under a heavenly cloud that rained a blessings on you that day. In other words, the Spirit did more moving to bless you than you did to get the blessing.
Father does a body good when a mature member of the body is ready to answer the call of Father: He is looking for sons that are ready for the meat of the Spirit. John 4:23, But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. When you walk with Father, you only get truth to feed from: nothing as truth does the body good when dealing with Father. Truth will leaven the whole lump: it’s tough meat because Father’s truth will call out every untruth in your lump. You will find yourself working out your way: not many rain clouds to be seen.
Until Tomorrow,
Adopted Son
