Escalator by definition is a moving staircase consisting of an endlessly circulating belt of steps driven by a motor, conveying people between the floors of a public building. Then I looked at the word conveying, and by definition it means to transport or carry to a place. So we have this moving staircase with belts of steps circulating endlessly by a motor to transport people between the floors of a public building. This sounds just like the process, and model that the Father commissioned Jesus to employ here on earth for us to follow. We have this moving God with words of life circulating endlessly by His power to transport people between the levels of the God Head: the Son (word), the Holy Ghost (power), and the Father (will). The thing that the escalator, and God have in common is that they both can get you to your next floor or level as promised. However, the thing that makes them so different, and probably gives the edge to the escalator in efficiency percentage is that the escalator is positioned to force you to exit on time whereas with God you are allowed to will your exit on time or off time. Unfortunately, many children of God make their exit at an off time, and thereby miss the transition to the next level. If the escalator flew us as high as God is trying to fly us, we would most likely die getting off the escalator because when it gets us to the place, we have to jump off. Many of us still die to our dreams, visions, hopes, and promises in God because when He gets many of us to the place, we are not forced to jump off. We may circle with joy for forty years if we must on His endlessly circulating sweet words of life. No: It’s time to step off the escalator.

Hey, no one loves hearing the word of God more than I do, but the thing I love more is hearing the next new word of God. Here’s what I mean. I want to bring to pass the current word of promise from God so that I can ride the escalator of the next word of promise to bring it to pass. I don’t want to keep hearing for forty years about the word of promise of entering the land of milk and honey. No, let’s show how we have developed, and let’s start taking our land of milk and honey in 13 days. Let’s cut that word of promise escalator ride down, and jump on the next one in much shorter time. You can’t go in an airport, and just continue to ride the escalator for ever. There is purpose involved here. They want to move you through each step that you have to go through as fast as possible. Even little kids can only get away with playing on the escalator at the airport for a minute before being ushered along. Now they will let you walk faster than the escalator is going, and pick up bonus time. There is no punishment for fast walkers. Matter of fact, God will let those that show the mastery of the fast walk in the word more bonus time also. I use airport as an example to depict urgency, seriousness, and many levels of coverage going on just to get through it. God is even bigger, and requires more attention to navigate through the spiritual levels as these physical levels require at the airport. And for the kids that want to play, and stay on the word escalator, an usher is on the way to move you on. It’s time to step off the escalator.

I will dive into on how to step off the word escalator in my next post. Today I want to leave you with a decision to make. There really is an optional word escalator for those that have really developed, and matured in their walk in the word while showing the use of God’s power through the Holy Ghost. There is a fast walker way to the Father, but no man cometh to the Father except by the son. The question for you is how does the Son let you come to the will of the Father? If you believe on the name of Jesus, and have received him in your heart; well, you might as well RSVP your place in heaven as long as you keep the faith. This is not the decision you have to make. You’ve already made it. All that believe on His name are all members of his body. We are referred to as members of the Body of Christ. And since God gave Jesus the fullness of the God Head in bodily form, we as members will received all we need fully from this membership. Now, here is one option to choose from in coming to the father. Remember that membership with Jesus as a member of His body will basically cover our complete life from the time that we receive Him as our savior. His yoke is light, and just requires that we follow all that He has already laid out. We still have to step off the escalator, but we will be stepping into a tailored plan that may bring a 30, 60 or hundred fold return on the word. This is the option that the Son will allow most members of the body of Christ to come to the Father’s will. Up until a couple of so decades ago, and still today, many members of the Body of Christ couldn’t tell you the first thing about operating in the power of the Holy Ghost. However, they still get to come to the will of the Father and receive a fold blessing because they know Jesus. Jesus was given the fulness of God so that He could fully cover us all. And remember as long as you are with the Bridegroom, Jesus, coming to the will of the Father is really automatic; you just have to know when, and how to step off the escalator. So in the Body of Christ you can ride the escalator to the Father: the settings have been determined by the manufacturer.

Now here is the other option to coming to the will of the Father. This option will allow you to have a better chance at receiving more hundred fold results than the previous option just mentioned above. Both options will get you there, but like in life where the return is greater, the sacrifice will match it. I refer to settings being set by the manufacturer as almost automatic, and I refer to the settings with the greater fold return as almost manual: you not only have to know how, and when to step off the escalator, but you must also know how to produce fruit to a high level and drive the production. There will be times that you will have to stay by the brook of Cherith long after the supply runs out. The question is can you stand the wait? You will need to be skilled in the operation of the gifts, and you must above all establish a relationship with Father just as you have with Jesus. The two are one, but highly different. It’s simple to understand. Jesus official position in the God Head is the “Word” as with the Father His official position in the God Head is the “Will.” Jesus said it better in John 14:28, Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. The “Will” is much greater than the “Word” because the “Will” already exists and it is much more of the “Will” than the “Word”, you just don’t know it yet: you know portioned “Will” at the time it is spoken by the “Word.” For example, you know when you are ready to eat before I know that you are ready to eat. I will not know it until your word or hunger growls tell me that you are ready to eat. For as I know, it could have been your “will” to eat a couple of hours earlier before it became your “word.” The beginning of your hunger for me is when I heard the word, but the beginning of your will to eat was much earlier, and vast. Hence that scripture: In the beginning of hunger was the “word”, and the “word was your “will”, and your “word” was now with your “will.” It’s not saying that the word was the beginning of the hunger, but that it was the beginning for when the hunger was first revealed to us. And there was not anything that was made in which the word did not make that thing’s beginning known first.

So we know that Jesus is the only begotten Son, but he’s not the only son that the Father would like to reveal some “Will” not yet spoken. John 4:23, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” What say you? Are you the son that can handle a direct transfer from the Father, or will you need to continue to receive all of your feeding from the well laid out portions through the Body of Christ. We will always start on the word, but as a son operating manually at times, you can get rare portions well before dinner time. That’s another thing with Jesus being the word, He only speaks it on time. Now if Father gives you something directly and early, will you be able to hold it until the right time to apply it comes? It was not always easy for Jesus to deal with others concerning timing: John 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. You didn’t hear Peter and the others sharing this problem. The reason being is that Jesus knows the exact timing, but Peter and we will have to discover the right timing. Jesus knew the right timing in the same way that you and I will yell out at the exact moment that we touch a hot iron by accident. We are one: my will to yell and my words yelling come from the same me. We are one as well as God’s will and His word are one coming from the same God. Here’s a good one that we all know to be true. We have all touched a hot iron a few times accidentally, and decided to say nothing. I know it happened, but no one else in the room knew it happened because there was no word sent forth to reveal it: therefore it was done, but it had no beginning. The will just exercised its greater, and withheld the word. You and I will receive the revelation from Father, but we will have to become skilled at discovering the right time to apply it.

One thing for sure is that for the growth to come that the members of the body need, we will still have to step off the escalator regardless of the way we come to the will of the Father. I must tell you that working directly with Father is no cup of tea, but I wouldn’t back it down for a minute. you really have to let go, and let Father. I can’t wait for the next post to share how, and when to step off the escalator.
