Fathertime: A Man Walking To God To Break The Ceiling.

In the previous post, “A Man Walking To God,” I stated that I would lay out a practical way to walk as a man to God in my next post. I used the prodigal son as an example of a man who left the protection of his father only to hit the bottom of rock bottom. We all know how his story ended with him coming back to a father standing there with arms wide open to receive his son back home. Like the prodigal son, we also left the protection of our heavenly Father when we decided to be disobedient resulting in us hitting the bottom of rock bottom. We lost not only the Garden of plenty, but the great relationship that we had with God at the beginning. As I stated in the previous post, Jesus has come and saved us, thereby giving those who believe on His name a place back with the Father in Heaven. However, we are not there yet; we will still need to walk back to the Father to have our needs supplied until Jesus returns to take us home. The prodigal son, from the previous post, made it back to his place of plenty to his father. We have been slowly making our way back to the place of plenty that the Father has for us. Our seat in Heaven may have a RSVP with our name on it, but our needs supplied here on earth continue to come forth in sorrow as we till the ground outside our garden. The prodigal son had it easier. He was a man walking back to a man. You and I do not have it as easy as the prodigal son. We are men (man) walking back to a God to have our needs supplied. So how do we do it is the question?

There are a couple of practical ways to have our needs met, and I suggest we use a combination of the two. I’m going to touch on the first part of the combo, and then focus on the latter part of the combo because it is the part that gives us the hundred fold supply. The first part of the combo is the primary way that we do things here on earth all over the civilized world. We should all expand our education, skill, training, talent, gift, and etc. to become very good and marketable in society. These reasons are why most of us have a decent life in addition to our relationship with God. Because we did prepare ourselves to be good, and marketable in certain things, we are able to meet our financial needs. I know that we Christians give all the credit to God as I do too, but I’m being practical for a moment on my way to where God really wants our attention. So Christians, let me say this next part before we expound because it is true about the world we live. It is also necessary to be said to separate us from the rest of society as peculiar people. There are many people on earth that really don’t know the Lord who live much better than many Christians do who know the Lord. It is a true fact that you don’t have to know God to know $500,000 dollars a year. Especially in America, if you are highly educated, gifted, talented, skilled, and etc., you don’t need God to supply your needs. It’s just the truth. I know many people who laugh at Christians while having the time of their life. These people may not change in time to RSVP a place in heaven, but their needs are met day in, and day out:it’s just the way it is. Matter of fact, a big part of the reason that we only produce enough mountain moving faith for a few is because it has been replaced in our minds with degrees, promotions, talent, and other things that will move the mountains.

So even the Christians who do know the Lord, but don’t have a degree, talent, training, and etc., will find more challenges when it comes to having their needs met. I do have good news for them as well as for we Christians who do have some of those things going for us. Either way, the ones with less will just hit their ceiling a lot sooner than we that have degrees, and skills with more. However, the thing that all levels of Christians, and just people in general have in common is that we all will eventually reach a point in life where we hit our ceiling. It doesn’t matter if our level is a very low $500 a month ceiling or if our level is a much higher $15,000 a month ceiling, we all become challenged once we hit it. This leads me to my latter practical way of man walking to God to have our needs supplied. There are no degrees required, no skill needed, or talent of a pop star required to qualify. The only thing required is that you love Jesus, and have a desire to make that walk as a man to a God. Remember and yes, get all the education, training, talent development that you can, but never let those things take the place of your faith in God. It is so hard to trust God in America because in America trust is not required to have your needs supplied. There are agencies to help everywhere, education to get everywhere, Pro bono tendered everywhere, and just on and on. Now I thank God that people can receive all this help, but it has trained us away from needing faith to lean on God into just needing to know where to go next to get the next help needed.

Then eventually the time comes to all of us, whether with little or with a lot, where these helpful things of the world can’t help. And since we’ve been so dependent on the processes of the world, we have not processed our lives on a daily basis in faith through God. We then look to jump to God in faith for help, but there is no immediate help from God. It’s like why didn’t God come through for me this time? Well, it may be that it was not always Him coming through for us in some of the other times. Many people have walked away from the same places as we have with the same blessings as we have without even knowing Jesus personally at all. We give God credit all the time for things that can be gotten on any given day from the world’s process. Now God doesn’t mind where we get the help from, but He just want us to run the offense through Him before we run the play. What happens when we finally need God, but haven’t been including Him along the way? We get ready to jump to God, but God and man are not on the same page anymore. We cast our line on the right side of the boat, but the fish are all on the left side with no time to recast. This is what a country full of resources like America can do to your faith. My credit is at a place where if my money is funny, I can make a rent payment without missing a beat. I have processed through the system properly to where I can just jump to my wallet like many of you can, and immediately call on that mighty name of, let’s just say Chase bank, and bingo problem solved for now. Fortunately for me, I do run my daily offense through God first. I may know that I can handle a financial surprise, but is there a better way to handle it? I won’t know if I don’t run the offense through Father, and be a man willing to walk my need to God. He has at times directed me to wait on some things before handling them even when I had resources to do so. It is easy to operate out of the world’s process in America, and still give God credit for doing it. We can develop a false sense of operating out of faith when we get to operate so regularly within a process that we know to have worked for our benefit so many times before.

So let’s wrap this us with all of us, the have littles and the have a lots, where we all have hit our ceilings. So now we all are equal and need God, the latter part of the combo. This means that neither the govt agencies, the two degrees, the major contracts, of what have you, are able to help supply the need of this ceiling we just hit. Here is where we all need God because all else available has failed. Here is where we have to break our dependence on our old crutches, and re-activate our sole dependence in God. We have been thanking Him for our blessings while expecting those blessings to come from our crutches in some manner or another. Now we have to decrease those dependencies, and increase God. God does indeed want us to exhaust all of our dependence on the things that we have hope in so that He can take us up higher than our ceiling. Remember the miracles Moses did in Egypt? Moses brought forth a serpent, and so did Pharaoh’s magicians. Moses turned the waters to blood, and so did the magicians. Moses brought forth Frogs, but so did Pharaoh’s magicians. It wasn’t until Moses brought forth the Lice that allowed Moses to break through the ceiling, and let God take him higher than the world system could go that held them back. The latter part of the combo is what breaks through our ceiling, and gives us the hundredfold we need to no longer be dependent on a world’s system. It doesn’t matter our status in the world’s system, if we can process at our level while running our offense through God, He will have us produce beyond the ceiling that the world has us hitting.

The combo is the way to get the most from this world while we are here. In the first part, we must get our education, receive advance training, and develop our gifts and talents to make a good life for our self as much as we can. The most important part here is to run our offense through God. Do not allow these good, and necessary elements of our life to become a crutch to side line our faith. This is how we should be living mostly with God overlooking, and making paths for us that eye have not seen nor ear heard. By running the offense through God, praying about decisions to be made, and keeping actions in line with His will for our life, God is always ready to extend the latter part of the combo to us when we hit our ceiling. There is no ceiling with God no matter how little or much we have. And remember with Moses, God called out the serpent: God was running the offense for Moses although the world system could do serpents too. Let God call out the resource play in the first part of the combo so that when we hit the world’s system ceiling, we will still have processed in faith with God along the way, and not miss a beat when we jump to the latter part of the combo. Yeah, we must work with this world system to surpass the ceiling that it will bring to us. No surprise there, but let God call the play. He already knows that the way of our path (education, govt help, etc.),for example, requires our waters turning to blood. And the world’s system (education, govt help, etc.) unaware can bring us closer to our ceiling also by having its waters turn to blood. Let the education, and advance training, govt agencies, and quotas bring us on up closer to the ceiling. Now ride the world’s system for transport, but not for crutchport. Eventually, the world’s system will produce frogs just for us because once again God will have already called for us the offensive play for the world’s system to match: frogs to the ceiling. Now at this point in the process, the world’s system has done its part in the combo, and supplied all our frog needs for us to hit its ceiling. Now God will take us through it, and beyond the ceiling. Our ceiling needs will be supplied by our Loving Father, and like the prodigal son’s father, God will be just standing there with arms wide open to receive us back to our garden of plenty. Now it’s time for the Lice, and the flies. In other words, it’s time for God to produce for us that supply in which the world’s system is not able to produce for us: a ceiling break through.

IT’S FATHERTIME!!

About Adopted son

I graduated from college some moons ago. I worked in the business world most of my life. I founded, established and operated in the evenings a Christian based leadership and special tactics consulting group. I also served for years as a leader in the Church which allowed me to see how people of like faith can receive different results depending on what the individual person believes. However, my current and ongoing mission is to highlight the greatness of my "Heavenly Father's" mighty power that He has given to His sons and daughters to use here on earth. I should be one to share on this power since I have learned of it through the experience of my many mistakes, trials and tribulations. Whether by default, learned behavior or by acquired faith, I was allowed to know of this power first hand so that I could speak of it! Adopted son and Number 1 Fan of Father
