In the last post of “wrapping up your unfinished business” I talked about how the word of God by it-self would not get you to your Father’s business finish. So read it first if you haven’t already before reading this finish of it. In the old testament I can rarely find any mention of the breakdown of God’s blessing into thirty, sixty and hundred fold as is so often mentioned in the new testament. I have found most of the fold blessing talk in the old testament to be mentioned as hundred fold or as the many manifold blessings of God. In todays Christian world, the hundred fold blessing is required more than ever to finish the race. This reminds me of other spiritual laws and ways of God that were redefined in some manner to fit the new testament updates. Another example of this redefining would be the word prophecy. In the old testament it was used to contain the fullness of the definition of what the prophet and/or seer job description also included. In the old testament, whatever word came forth was considered by definition to be a word of prophecy coming forth from the person of God. In the new testament, the Lord had the Apostle Paul to do a little updating in order to have the words fit the actions of the Spirit. In the new testament, the word prophecy is broken down into three words to give us a more detail description for better use in today’s world. We still have the word “prophecy”, but it refers more specifically to the giving of words that edify the person along those lines. A second word used now along with the word prophecy is its close family member known today as a “word of wisdom.” In the old testament it would have just been described as a prophecy, but today it allows us to identify it immediately as a word about something to come in the future. The third word and close family member with the word prophecy that also in the old testament would have been described also as a prophecy is known today as a “word of Knowledge.” This allows us to immediately upon hearing it come forth know it to be referring to something that has already taken place in the past: it is a fact already gone down.

So before Jesus came to earth in bodily form, and before it would please the Father to give Jesus the fullness of the God head in bodily form, it was basically the invisible God and man just going at it since the beginning of time trying to get this thing finished. Then the light came on, and it was decided that the time had come to finish this, so down came Jesus to finish His Father’s unfinished business. Oh, that’s another one of those words (Father), that we hear heavily in the new testament, but not so much in the same way in the old testament. I can’t spend the time on it today, but I will give you this much on it today. The birth of God’s only begotten Son had a lot to do with the timing and more heavily use of calling Him Father. I don’t even naturally know of anyone that was called father before the birth, adoption or legal authority was given to them to be called father or mother before having a child, if you get the point.

Now back to this hundred fold blessing to finish up our unfinished business. We all agree that Jesus came here to please the Father, and to save our souls so that we may have eternal life. Here’s the problem, we have proof now after all this time that the time for us to go live that eternal life was not coming soon. Jesus wasn’t particularly clear about that either: no, He just said I go to prepare a place for you, but I will not leave you without a comforter. Well the reason many have not felt much of that comfort is because we had to grow in two areas since that time: individually, and as the corporate body of Christ. I’m glad to report that many have grown individually over time and passed it on down to be continued, and that the body of Christ has developed to the stage where it is ready to finish Father’s unfinished business. Jesus showed us how to walk in the fullness of God as a man before he left us for a seat next to the right hand of Glory. He did this because unlike in the time before His coming, whatever God did for man, God did it fully: a hundred fold. It was God only at work, and whatever work God did, He did it fully. However, this walking as an adopted son of God following in the steps of the only begotten son of God (Jesus), takes time and skill to get the results: thirty fold, sixty fold, hundred fold blessings?

If the body of Christ was at the baby stage level, and the individual members were all just getting started also, you can see how a 2000 year learning curve could be needed to allow so many to learn how to walk in this fullness of God in the manner as Jesus. It didn’t take Jesus but thirty-three years plus some days to finish his Father’s business, but it has taken the body of Christ having individual members more and less advance than on average a very long time. When most of us attempt to walk out the fullness of God, for a long time we didn’t even make it through the fullness of the word, let along the power of the Holy Ghost that moves us into the times and seasons held at the level of Father. You see, Jesus had full faith, full trust, full everything in order to walk in the fullness fully. We the members of the now mature body of Christ are ready to take on more of God’s fullness. He needs more than a thirty fold, or sixty fold from us. Father needs His adopted sons to do as His only begotten son as done: FINISH THE UNFINISH BUSINESS.

OK, let’s stop for this post. I will talk about the skills required to walk with the Father as the only visible God Jesus did when he was here. Don’t worry, Father would not put more on you than you can bear. It’s Father-time!!!
