I will admit to it, there is no amount of anything that could replace the amount of everything that the original Apostles, Disciples, Followers, Guest, Haters, Family, Friends, and/or whomever received from just being in the physical presence of God almighty. I know, it is what it is, the rest of us will have to wait just a “little bit” longer before we are blessed to stand in His mighty physical presence. However, they that did see and meet Jesus were actually the first to benefit from what we call today, BOGO: Buy One, Get One. Back when Jesus was out promoting the new expansion of the family business, The Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus first called it, MOGO: Meet One, Get One. The benefits received from MOGO were too vast, too many, and connected to everything, that man watered it down to his level and called it BOGO. And be careful when out there shopping for BOGO, sometimes you’ll find BOGO to only be fifty percent off the next one, not the full one hundred percent off. lol.
In John 14:9, where you can read up on the origin of MOGO, Jesus saith unto him, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?.” You see, once you’ve been dealing with Jesus for a while, you should be able to identify the benefits of having the two as one. In the above scripture, Philip and really all of them, they are treating Jesus and the Father as being separate from the other. In reality Jesus and the Father are one in order to get to that which separates their identity from the other. When you first meet one, you get one: Colossians 1:19, “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell:” and Colossians 2:9, “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” So what we have here would be similar to having identical twins: the Father, a spirit, gave to Jesus, a spirit made flesh, all of His fullness in bodily form making them identical. We get both when we meet Jesus: MOGO!
So where do you and I fit in all this “Like Father, Like Son, What A Beautiful Thing To Be” scenario? Well, first there is this identity situation that identical twins go through. It may not be a problem for them, but it is always an adjustment for us when we first meet them. Oh, yeah, Jesus and the Father continue to experience this even today from the members of the Body of Christ in our early encounters with each other. And in the past, you read in the scripture stated above the problems that the Apostles had with the identities of the Son, and The Father. Then John the Baptist had the nerve to allow himself to become even more confused: he sends his disciples to ask Jesus to identify himself. I guess from prison, one is liable to think anything. Here’s the thing, you may know identical twins, but if you are friends with one of them, you better know enough about the one to know who you are dealing with when you are alone with one. I went to college with identical twins who were both on the track team. Can you see me now yelling, run Robin run, when it was actually Renee on the track at the time. When I first start spending time around them, I had trouble telling them apart from time to time; but then after having been around them so long time, I began to know them apart. I remembered at the time that just a couple of months ago, I would have still been seeing both when I saw one because I didn’t really know the identity of at least one of them in a way that showed who was present. When you have identical twins as they were, and as Jesus and His Father are, when you see one, you see the other, but when you really know one, you know how to talk to both.
You and I have to know Jesus in His fullness, in order to know whether to talk to Him or His Father. Remember, the Apostles had the Physical Jesus train them, so they did not pray to Jesus the prayer “Our Father Which Art In Heaven” when they pray. Jesus would pray to the Godhead level of Father: this level is both in Him in bodily form, and in His Father as being the invisible God from “In The Beginning.” This process now allows you and me to pray to the Godhead level as sons once we know that the “Word” is in its fullness. This is what Jesus meant when He said to Philip “have you been with me for so long a time and not known me. They that have seen me, have seen the Father”. You and I have to know Jesus well enough, so that we understand to which twin we are talking with. Renee did not laugh at my jokes as quickly as Robin did, but they both still looked alike while possessing like abilities. The harmony came because I started to know the difference in their identity, and saved most of my jokes for Robin. When you go to God in prayer for one of your needs, are you at the place to expect a word of direction for that need, or are you at the place to make a move to fulfill that need? If you have been with Jesus for so long time, and you need a word of direction for that need, you know to save the prayer for fulfillment for Father, and seek a “Word” in prayer from God that shows you the resource seed for that need. If you’ve been with Jesus for so long time, you no it is an exercise in futility to pray for completion when you have not planted a “word” for the need in any good soil. The thing about the twins that you can not change is who they really are underneath all of that look alike. If it’s not the time or processed properly, don’t try to force a laugh out of Renee from an out of season joke just because you believe you need to give a joke right then: it’s not happening, wait for Robin to process toward that joke in her time and season. If you believe you need a situation to end right now, but your “word” for the resource has been planted in poor soil, don’t spend time looking for Father to end it: it’s not happening, spend long time getting to know the “Word” in process for it first. It could happen fast, but when you see one of the twins, make sure you know the identity when you speak. Oh, did I not tell you, you are the physical sons now: once you locate in the natural the two fish and five loaves for your need seed, take it to the Father in prayer to have your need fulfilled. “Like Father, Like Son: What A Beautiful Thing To Be. It’s Fathertime!!!
Stay Tune,
Adopted Son.
