No one can say it better than Jesus said it in John 14:28, “For my Father is greater than I.” There are levels of God that we have to have access to in order to complete our walk here on earth that can only be found at the Father level. This has been a subject of conversation from Jesus’ time here on earth all the way up to now. Everyone wants to get all the answers from Jesus, but it was never set up to operate that way. The original apostles questioned Jesus time and time again trying to make Him the one stop person for all their needs. They even argued over who would sit where in heaven, and which of them was greater than the other: on and on did they go. They wanted to meet the Father, and Jesus told them that if they knew Him that they knew the Father already. In one clear instance when they asked Jesus if He would at this time restore again the Kingdom to Israel? In Acts 1:7, He said unto them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. And Jesus also went ahead to say in verse 8, But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you.

Here it is all together for everyone to see. Jesus knows that He is the lead off man. He makes sure the word is given to the Apostles along with clear directions on what to do. He let’s them know that it’s his time to go, but I’m leaving you with another comforter that will empower you to carry the word to the nations with power as I have instructed. The poor Apostles were so used to seeing Jesus just knock the ball out of the park every time that he swung the bat, that life without Jesus would be more shocking to them than when they first left everything that they had to follow him. It was not that God didn’t want them to ever know the times or seasons which the Father hath put in his own power, but they had a lot to process between the word and the Holy Ghost before it would be time for them to know things at the father level. The first thing that Jesus let them know was that more God was on the way: I’m not really linking you with another me, but more like I’m linking you with more of me. God is too vast, and deep for Him to come to us all at once. Now, God gave Jesus the fullness of God so that Jesus could come down here, and take care of business quickly, and get out of here quickly. Plus, God could trust the man Jesus to follow the plan: he couldn’t do that with any other man. It reminds me of “The Prime Directive” used in Star Trek: prohibits Starfleet personnel from interfering with the development of alien civilizations. If you and I had been given all that power at one time, we would interfere with stuff when it was not yet time for it. Here is the best example that I know everyone will recognize right off without having to go fact check. Jesus’ mother was always trying to get Jesus to do something at a time that was not part of “The Heavenly Objective.” Jesus would tell her time and time again, it is not my time: in other words, it is not my call mama, but He usually did it anyway. I suppose if you are a mama as the commercial says, that’s what you do. I’m here to tell you if we all had that power without limits, it wouldn’t just be the mamas, it would be what we all would do. Come on, you know we would, if Jesus honored his mother extra wishes from time to time: are you trying to tell me that you could go hang on the cross to save our souls?

OK, speaking of the greater level: as Jesus did with the Apostles, he did with us also. He gave us his word with direction to carry out his will on earth. Now, I don’t think we were as sure of what he said to us as were the Apostles since he was standing right there talking with them face to face. That’s part of our growth process, to learn how to hear the word from God amongst all the other voices. Then we walked in another level with another comforter to receive power to carry out God’s will just as the apostles. Once we learned how to apply the power of the Holy Ghost to the word as we walked it out, we found ourselves here: needing to know how to get off the treadmill. We need to know how to access that question asked of Jesus long long ago by the Apostles. Is it my time to step off the treadmill, and enter into the times and seasons of my victory? Why can we now ask that question, when Jesus told the Apostles long long ago not to concern themselves with it right now? Well, it’s no longer, long long ago. We the Body of Christ has come a mighty long way since the apostles first asked that question. We have come much farther than they could have ever dreamed because time was not on their side. Time has been more than on our side. We know the word, and we know how to walk in the power of the Holy Ghost: two-thirds of God won’t do. It is now time to ask for the times and seasons because it is now Father time: the greater third of the God head. It was not Father time when Jesus first left the Apostles, the Church had just began, and the body of Christ was just born and still with out diaper. Even Paul talked about the church at that early stage, and how he could only give it the milk of the word. Well, we been off the milk for quit sometime, and we can eat the meat of the word as a body with the best of meat eaters.

It’s time for that final level, and Jesus has prepared the way. He went first, and now we must come unto that greater level. We must come to Father, and receive entrance to the times and seasons which Father is now ready for you to fully receive.
It’s Father time!!!
