When I attended my favorite University some years ago, my major was in commerce and business administration with a focus on market research:at least that’s what it says on my certificate of degree. So by education, and really just naturally being this way, I pay close attention to outcomes generated by patterns of behavior along with the effect that this behavior has on people spiritual lives. And don’t forget, it wouldn’t be true research without statistical data to back up your findings. I’m also blessed by God the Father with the “gifts of government.” This gift allows me to follow order, and protocol according to the Kingdom way without really having to try: it is a gift. This gift does other things like making your understanding clear when having to negotiate a mine field of spiritual traps, but I will save that discussion for another day. Today, I want to look at why God has such a losing record with us when it comes to the things of this world. Oh yeah, a few of us win from time to time using the world’s system, but most of us run into that brick wall time and time again: why? He Is God, right!?

I begin to look at it more closer once I realized that the number of victories for the Home team (members of the body of Christ) were a lot fewer in number than they were for the other teams (non-members of the body of Christ). It hadn’t hit me so clearly before because I thought that everyone was winning most of their battles because of all the great reports coming forth every time you meet, and greet a fellow member of the Body. For example, Praise the Lord, how are you today I would ask? And they would say, God is good all the time. Life couldn’t be better. Well this it what goes on day in, and day out: you and you know it too. You hear it, and may respond in kind with your own how great my world with God is all the time line. Then it happened for me. I was allowed to become an adviser to spiritual leaders. This opened the door for me to hear the flip side of what you hear, and see on a happy Sunday morning at Church. I found out that most of the reports were reports fill with hope. They were standing strong on their belief that a lot of what they hoped for would indeed come to pass one day soon. In other words, they were being good faith scripture soldiers. You know, speaking those things that be not as though they were type scriptures, but I found out from the data that most of the things hoped for remains in hope. Do you know any members of the Body in despair like that? I also found out by graphing the things hoped for alongside the results for their co-workers, and friends that are not members of the Body of Christ, the good results from their methods flood our minds with doubt, and disbelief. We see others getting more and more while we are struggling everyday to just maintain, and survive. This is not the greatest of ways to foster staying power. I know that we have a few people who do well, but it is really just a few. These few include our big time spiritual leaders along with some that have climbed the ladder of success. You know climbing the ladder of success is not near as hard as it is to climb the ladder of success the kingdom way. The times I worked in corporate America for companies like Xerox, the old MCI, Cube Smart, and others along my journey, it required work, but it was much easier than climbing the kingdom ladder.

Let’s conclude with my summary on the matter. It could all be God’s fault only because He gives us chance after chance to get it right: He’s so loving. We better know how extremely blessed we are to have a God as our Lord and savior, and not some dictator man. A man would not continue to delay our sentencing as our great God does. No, a man would go ahead and decide after your first offense, and declare the punishment for your behavior. It would be no sentencing delayed. And God is no respecter of person, we all continue to get our sentencing delayed. I recently heard a former Governor commenting on some pardons he gave out. He said that it was one of the benefits that he had to be able to help out friends. I’m glad that he is not my God, I would still be there not being a friend of his. Now, we have a God that can touch a non=friend’s heart, and move him to show you favor if you keep your friendships in order. Here’s the jugular, we forget who’s the real friend in our corner. We also forget that this real friend has all power in His hand to move on our behalf. So why are we not winning more battles, and receiving more of the things hoped for from God? We fear immediate persecution from the earth, more than we do from God. You, and I think that we know that waiting on God is negotiable, and that we have time to get it right with Him. We think that we are better off stepping off of God for a moment to take care of our business our way, than to see God with our situation to the end. Okay, the bill collectors want it now, and not later. Do we do what we got to do, or do we do what we got to do for God so that he can make sure that we can do? What’s your answer: look at your life to get the stats on this? Since God’s sentencing is delayed we think, and the bill collectors’ sentencing is immediate we think, we usually fear the immediate ,and put God to the curve. Here is the bottom line that we use. We have seen the pattern of God so many times now, and we think that we see that He is not coming to punish us immediately. We have taken this pattern, and used it to take care of that we fear. It is time to reverse it. Although it does not seem or feel like God declares sentencing immediately, there is a built-in operation that continues to operate in accord with God’s plan. Every time we step off of God’s plan to handle another’s plan, we push our selves farther, and farther out of the Father’s time and season for that particular operation. This is why we continue to have to wait longer each time because we continue to push our selves farther away from Father.

In Ephesians 6:17, it talks about the word of God being the sword of the spirit. In my previous posts, we have gone over time and time again the work of the God Head: it allows us to walk in the fullness of God. I also make it clear in those posts how the word of God along with the spirit of God are responsible for brining us to a place where we enter into Father. Father is the God head that contains the times and the seasons. If we always step off of God’s operation as the word, and the spirit are working to get us to Father, we will continue to miss the time and season that is waiting for us to receive that which we have been hoping for. So it may not appear that sentencing is being declared by God when we put Him on hold to go do that which we fear might bring us immediate persecution. The thing to remember is this, we put everything on a different course of time when we stop doing God for a moment to go, and do something that is bringing fear of persecution now. If you can find the strength to face the persecution a couple of rounds to get back in sync with God’s timing, you will get back on track to have what you need at the time you need it; Father time.
