Did you guess who passes the baton to Father?  In part one, we talked about the time that each member of the God Head relay team would contribute to the development of the Body of Christ.  We saw how Jesus came off the block first running in his lane as word becoming flesh, fulfilling every iota of the word while initiating the body of Christ, giving us salvation through his death on the cross, and finally showing us how to die to flesh so that the Father can complete the victory by resurrecting the dead Christ from the grave.

Then we saw how Jesus went to be with his Father, but not leaving us alone to fight this fight.  No, as Jesus was ascending upon high he left us gifts of himself (five-fold ministry and other administrations) so that we may develop, and continue to gain understanding of him through those gifts: remember Jesus was the word made flesh.   Now that Jesus (the word) was at the end of his lane, he passed the baton to the next member of the God Head relay team, the Holy Ghost.  Like Carl Lewis coming around the curve faster than anything the world had never seen, the Holy Ghost shook up the place to begin making his contributions to the development of the Body Christ.  The people back then, as you should be doing in our time, experienced such power as people saw things on the track happening that they could not explain.  The Holy Ghost now had the baton running in his lane as the comforter with power to teach us all things, to develop us in all things, and to help us learn how to walk in the written and spoken word.

Now all this time has gone by since Jesus left, and passed the baton over to the Holy Ghost.  What has been happening with the Body of Christ since its inception?  Like any child, we have been growing, and developing in our craft: to become a proficient son of God in the things of God.  Some may think that we require special needs because of all the time that it has taken for us to become skilled in this spiritual walk.  The world does laugh at us Christians now more than ever, but we did our share to give them extra ammunition to do.  We have had so many distractions to deal with that it has been a challenge for us, and God to get the Body of Christ to this point of maturity.  I tell my kids all the time, if you only learn how to play the parental game, you can win almost every time.  I didn’t have all the distractions in my day growing up as there are for kids today, but with what I had, I had the sense to respect the things that my earthly father needed to be happy.  Oh by the way, respecting my mother, and doing right by her was one of the things that made my father happy: so I couldn’t just treat daddy right, and mistreat mom with hopes of having victory.

Here s the bottom line.  There is still a lot of underdeveloped members in the Body of Christ, but there are enough developed sons that can stand in bodily form as Jesus did to fulfil the needs of the Father at this time.  God will wait no longer to make the next move.  Father is now ready to start bringing more things to pass here on earth: He needs sons to do it.  We are no Jesus, but we don’t have to do what Jesus was called to do, we just have to do what we were called to do as a son of God.  You know how Father raised Jesus from the dead? Well, Father is ready to raise you from your dead “whatever” to complete his will.  Oh, the bottom line, the final crossing over to become a useful son for Father in bodily form is having the willingness, and being able to lay down your flesh’s will: enduring the pain connected with your flesh going through its death process.  Let it die now, and begin to bring the times and seasons to your word now.

The Holy Ghost has his instructions: pass the baton to the next member of the God Head relay team.  That next member is not Father, but the members of the Body of Christ that are ready to know that there is no other way for this cup to pass except they drink it.  The members that reach out to the Holy Ghost for the baton will be the son that Jesus was when he reached out in Garden, and took the baton to killed his flesh’s desire to not die on  the cross.   What is your cross that you just can’t get past because you keep asking is there another way to do this without giving up that part of my life: feel my pain you ask?  .

So you now know who’s the third member of the God Head relay team.  It is you!  The word, and the Holy Ghost brought Jesus to the Garden for the final battle with the flesh.  Jesus took the baton from the Holy Ghost, and won that battle.  The Son is now running with the baton toward the cross.  He still has all power in his hand, but instead of calling legions of angels to come to his rescue, Jesus passes the baton to the Father to raise him from the dead when he gave up the ghost and died.  Jesus got the ultimate victory because he put the baton in the hand of the God Head member that controls the times and the  seasons.  In three days there was no doubt to Jesus that He would be raised from the dead because the time for it hadn’t just come, but Jesus had bought his belief that He would be raised on day three to the one with the time in hand, and handed that word baton back to the will in which it originally came from: full circle.

Are you ready to bring your wait to the one with the now time, or are you going to continue to wait for time to come?  Go to your garden of Gethsemane today, and win that final battle within your soul: your will.  Decide to accept where the word, and Holy Ghost have brought you thus far: now receive the baton and run to that death that causes you so much pain.  Now you have the baton in your hand to hand off to Father: no more waiting.  You have bought the death of your will to the one with the time in hand, and handed that word baton back to the will in which it originally came from: full circle.
