Father will come after your soul if you are a chosen one. The question is will you let him take it? You can’t just decide to do with him as others have done with his adversary the devil: as they say, and I quote, “sell your soul to the Devil.” No, you may can make a deal with the Devil, and sell your soul to him for a few favors; but there is no deal making with Father when it comes to the soul. Nope, when Father comes for your soul, you will either work with his process of giving it to him or you will lose out on your chance. It will be his way or the hwy.
In order to complete the will of Father in your life, your whole soul must belong to him. The agony that comes along with completing his will in your life will be to great to handle if you hold on to your soul. Even Jesus had to process his soul to the place where he could let the Father have it. If Jesus had not let the final piece of his will go just moments ahead of his moment of truth, he would not have been able to bear the cross. The cross is no place for the soul that is filled with your emotions, your mind, and your will. Can you even imagine what it would be like going through the most painful surgery known to mankind without being put under some type of anesthesia? The pain would kill you before the surgery could be completed.
Well, it’s the same thing when it comes to walking out the will of Father for your life. The quicker you can be put under, the quicker you can move pass your cross, and walk in the Glory that Father has for your life. Jesus had that final moment in the garden of Gethsemane where his soul was exceeding sorrowful, even unto death (Matthew 26:38). Death was the will of Father for Jesus, but Jesus wanted to know if there was another way to get this done (Matthew 26:39). You have to ask yourself, where am I in this process? If you have been struggling to move on, it must give you comfort, and a new level of understanding to know that Jesus (the son of God) had to struggle moving on also. Once Jesus allowed his soul to take that final shot, he was able to say to the doctor (His Father), nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt(Matthew 26:39).
Jesus’ soul is now under the care of his doctor (Father). His soul is protected from the destruction and shock that his body is about to feel and endure. Once you let Father have your soul his way, you will be able to endure whatever your cross is and go all the way. When you let Father have your soul, you put it under his care. He will provide the anesthesia that you will need to endure your cross, and walk into all that he has for your life!
