I was listening to a couple of my fellow Christians talk about their faith. And as I do, they dearly love our heavenly Father, but I wanted to ask them where is the power in their life that they talk about. I know myself, if I didn’t see the power in action at times, how would I know that I could fight the good fight. I want to overcome, not be overcame.
Father wants us to fight the good fight and use the power that he has provided, but you have to know it to show it. And Father God wants you to know that we have to not only talk a good game, but we have to walk a good game. The power is ours if we will show up for the fight.
Here is a good example of showing up for the fight and showing power with your faith. At another time, I was talking with two other fellow Christians that had as I had at one time faced an eviction. We were discussing what happened. So I said to the other two, what did you do? How did it turn out? By the way both of these people were leaders in their church in one capacity or another.
They both said to me that they had packed up everything and moved out a day or so before the sheriff or deputies showed up to put their things out. I thought to myself, if you don’t show up for the fight how do you know if you can win. They asked me what did I do, I told them that I showed up for the fight. I did not leave early. I guess I just really needed to know if the power was there for me to use or just talk about.
Then after that day I begin to know. And with each fight, I grew in the use and knowledge of that power.
